About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join, and play a major role, in our innovative project, CAP (Climate Action Plans). Working with a range of communities to take action on climate change, the project reaches out to, and supports individuals and communities to write their own Climate Action Plans (CAPs) – enabling everyday carbon savings from individual households and larger scale community-wide schemes.

Your role will also involve engaging people in delivering sustainability projects within the local community, as well as working with groups and volunteers to support people with behaviour change projects to reduce domestic energy use and other carbon and waste reduction measures. All within the context of the cost-of-living crisis.

A key element of the role will be to develop a good working relationship with, and support for, local groups and volunteers to assist in the delivery of the project, and help sustain the benefits over the long-term.

As a new initiative you will play a major role in helping to shape the programme and how it is delivered, as it progresses.

We are looking for an organised and motivated, self-starter who can enthuse, enable and empower.

If you share our passion for practical community action on climate change, the environment and poverty and you feel you have the skills, experience and enthusiasm we are looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

If you would like to have an informal discussion about the role please email info@EcoCentreSW.org.
